In the second round of the Henriette Herz Scouting Programme, a further 23 scouts, including 10 female researchers, were chosen to recruit talented individuals for the Humboldt Network. A total of 99 applications from 47 institutions were submitted. The selections made during this round included two scouts each from Universität Hamburg, LMU Munich and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

This year’s awards for the best networking initiatives developed by Humboldtians are going to Argentina, Bulgaria, Nigeria, the Czech Republic and Uzbekistan. Applications for the 2022 Humboldt Alumni Awards are being accepted through 30 November 2021.
