Opening event on 13 June 2024 at Ruhr University Bochum as part of Science Year 2024 – Freedom

At the award ceremony for Germany’s most valuable research award in Berlin, Robert Schlögl, President of the Humboldt Foundation, stressed the importance of freedom for research and society.

Selected to receive an Alexander von Humboldt Professorship, Germany’s most valuable research award, 12 top researchers are moving to a German university.

Fellows of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation will meet at the University of Magdeburg from 24 to 26 April.

On 18 and 19 April 2023, some 400 people will gather at the Philipp Schwartz and Inspireurope Stakeholder Forum in Berlin to discuss issues revolving around international scientific and academic freedom and the protection of researchers.

After 14 successful years, Enno Aufderheide is leaving the Foundation at the end of March.

About 100 researchers from all disciplines will get together in San Francisco at the invitation of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation from 29 February to 2 March.
