Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Professor Kühnel is one of the leading international experts on Crusader art and on the role of Jerusalem for monotheistic religions. Her publications on the representation of the real and the heavenly Jerusalem were groundbreaking and have become standard references. During her stay in Germany, she will study the European tradition of conceiving Jerusalem. The results of her research project "Jerusalem in Europe" are expected to have a fundamental impact far beyond the boundaries of her academic field. |
