Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden

Professor Lvov is well known internationally for his outstanding research in soft matter. He was among the pioneers in studying ultrathin films consisting of polyelectrolyte assemblies and using them for encapsulation. Further, he introduced the concept of clay nanotubes as containers for sustained release of chemical agents. During his stay in Germany, Professor Lvov intends to elaborate a new class of Pickering microemulsions and of hydrogels both containing clay nanotubes as building blocks. The aim is to design new multi-functional materials with drug releasing entities.
