Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
Martin Bodo Plenio ist international führend auf dem Gebiet der Quanteninformationstheorie und hat bahnbrechende Arbeiten zur Verschränkung zwischen Quantensystemen sowie der praktischen Realisierung von Quanteninformationsverarbeitung geleistet. In Ulm soll er maßgeblich zur Entstehung des geplanten Center for Quantum Engineering beitragen, an dem Mathematiker, Physiker und Elektroingenieure auf Augenhöhe mit der Spitze der internationalen Konkurrenz zusammenarbeiten sollen. |
