Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden

Dr. Smirnov is an outstanding physicist in the field of perturbative quantum field theory, in particular in the evaluation of multi-loop Feynman diagrams. He has developed several key techniques which enabled extremely challenging calculations relevant to phenomenological particle physics and mathematical physics. During his stay in Germany Dr. Smirnov plans to study new classes of Feynman integrals which have several immediate applications both in quantum chromo dynamics as well as in super symmetric Yang-Mills theories.
