Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden

Dr. Kawon Oum has studied at Yonsei University, Seoul, before completing her Ph.D. work at Oxford University. After postdoctoral work at the University of California at Irvine she came with an Alexander von Humboldt-Fellowship to the Institut für Physikalische Chemie at the Universität Göttingen. Here she has studied elementary chemical reactions at very high gas pressures and in the transition range between gases and liquids. She is planning to investigate reactions of larger organic molecules in supercritical water and carbon dioxide. Such processes may become of considerable technical importance.
