Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Professor Ohtani is recognised as a leading expert on the geophysics and geochemistry of Earth and planetary interiors. Being a pioneer in high pressure research, he has performed ground breaking measurements to examine, for example, the buoyancy of magmas and the transport of water within the Earth’s deep interior. In Germany, he will study the nature of the light alloying elements in the Earth’s metallic core. |
