Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden

Professor Roberts is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and Director of the Theory Group at Argonne National Laboratory, the USA's first national laboratory. He co-authored the key reference for one of the most important research themes in modern nuclear physics, and has added materially to our understanding of the strong force that confines quarks within the proton. He will collaborate with colleagues at the University of Rostock to identify signals for quark-gluon plasma formaton and quark matter in compact astrophysical objects.
