Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden

Prof. Moloney has made many ground breaking and innovative contributions in Physics and Applied Mathematics, in the area of Numerical Modeling and in particular to Computational Nonlinear Optics. He has developed new theoretical research methodologies for the investigation of complex spatio-temporal phenomena in nonlinear optics and lasers. Due to his novel and sophisticated approaches to numerical modeling and simulation it is becoming feasible to predict the performance and nonlinear phenomena in realistic optical systems and devices. During his extended stay at the Philipps University Marburg, his research focus will be on Computational Photonics: From Ultrafast Nonlinear Optics to Nanophotonics.
