Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| During the past decade Professor Schmal has been and still is the leading figure in catalysis in South America. He has performed ground breaking research in oxidation catalysis. Particular attention has been paid to creating oxide layers on supports and in particular niobium oxide has been explored as a support and as an active component. He is going to work on fundamental studies of oxide supported palladium-cobalt particles at the Fritz Haber Institute, Berlin. |
