| Professor Zhang is a pioneer and an authority in the field of terahertz science and technology. He has made major contributions to terahertz optoelectronics, which have contributed to terahertz time-domain spectroscopy becoming a major tool for linear and nonlinear spectroscopy in the far-infrared spectral range. His techniques are applicable across a variety of disciplines and have helped to open new fields to terahertz science. In Germany, he will continue his research on terahertz air photonics. |
