Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Professor Brenner is one of the world's leading scientists in the broad area of numerical analysis and scientific computing. Her multigrid convergence analysis of non-standard finite element methods is an outstanding result with important ramifications for computations in solid and fluid mechanics. Professor Brenner has established complex mathematical estimates which others might merely formulate as a conjecture. Her research in Germany is focused on ''hot topics'' like fast solvers for Cahn-Hilliard Equations for pattern simulations and convergence analysis for new emerging finite element technologies for Maxwell equations. |
