Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden

Piet Wibertus Brouwer gilt in seiner Disziplin als einer der produktivsten und wichtigsten Köpfe. Er erforscht aktuelle Themen der Festkörpertheorie und des Quantentransports an der Schnittstelle der Quantenwelt und der klassischen Welt. Unter seiner Federführung soll ein Zentrum für theoretische Physik an der FU Berlin entstehen, das Dahlem Center for Complex Quantum Systems.
