Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
Prof. Tanaka is an internationally leading theoretical physicist in the area of soft condensed matter with particular emphasis on the rich spatio-temporal structures appearing in complex fluids out of thermal equilibrium including, inter alia, viscoelastic phase separations, ordering of lyotropic liquid crystals, and liquid liquid transitions. The envisaged research projects revolve around the dynamics of mesoscopic soft condensed matter, such as the dynamics of solvation and depletion forces and of wetting near structured substrates. |
