Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Dr. Petrosyan is a well known and internationally recognized expert in theoretical quantum optics and quantum information. He has made important contribution to the many-body theory of interacting Rydberg gases, their interaction with light, and potential applications to photon-based quantum information processing. Dr. Petrosyan combines a variety of analytical and numerical methods for quantum optical systems with large physical intuition. During his stay in Germany he will extend his work on optically driven Rydberg gases as new model system for many body physics. |
