Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Professor Honig is a world renowned researcher in the areas of wireless communications, networks, and signal processing. His groundbreaking work has defined important major research directions in these areas and has a deep and lasting impact on the field.
This is especially true for his research on adaptive filters, multiuser detection, digital subscriber lines, wireless transmission techniques, and resource allocation in wireless networks.
Presently, Professor Honig's scientific interests are focused on the following areas of research:
1. "Information exchange in multi-antenna wireless networks" and,
2. "Optimal resource allocation in wireless communication networks"
Both topics belong to the most current fields of research in the area of wireless communication. The first topic particularly, Information Exchange in Multi-Antenna Wireless Networks, has quickly gained influence and special meaning in the neighboring discipline of automatic control technology.
