Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Professor Clement Sanchez is certainly one of the most reknown material chemists of Europe. He is working in the area of sol-gel chemistry for functiona l applications, and notations as "Chimie douce" or "Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Materials" are tighly connected to his name, both in basic research but also for applications. These topics also belong to the most rapidly growing fields in material science. Beside being an excellent scientist, he is also a devoted teacher, and science manager, shapeing an European platform of joint research and discussion in a variety of key positions in the different science associations. It is this humanistic union of being an excellent scientist and an engaged academician which makes him especially valuable and was most appreaciated by the proposing colleagues. |
