| Prof. Bolthausen is a worldwide known expert on various probabilistic structures beyond independence, like spin glasses, random walks in random environments and more. His contributions to the theory of large deviations and their applications added significantly to the understanding of interacting random systems. During his stay in Berlin and Leipzig, he will continue his study of directed polymers and random interface models. |
