Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Professor Dimitri N. Bassov is worldwide renowned for his optical investigations of metals with strong electron-electron interactions. His research shed light on challenging problems of high-temperature superconductors. Beyond his work on unconventional metals, Professor Bassov made significant contributions towards the understanding of magnetic semiconductors, molecular crystals, graphene, and artificial metamaterials. During his stay in Germany, Professor Bassov will intensify scientific exchange with several groups, in particular he will try to advance spectroscopic methods. Professor Bassov is hosted by Professor Martin Dressel at the University Stuttgart and by Professor Bernhard Keimer at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research. |
