| Ashutosh Chilkoti is the Theo Pilkington Chair Professor and Director of the Center for Biologically Inspired Materials & Material Systems at Duke University. He is one of the worldwide leading scientists in Bioengineering who explores the interaction between biological and artificial materials from the molecular level to the clinical application. His interdisciplinary research combines materials and surface science, molecular biology, engineering and medicine. During his stay in Germany, he will work on targeted delivery strategies to manipulate the behaviour of cells in vivo and in artificial environments. |
