Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden

Professor Hauber is an outstanding behavioural ecologist and one of the world-leading scientists in the field of co-evolution. He has shaped the way we think about the evolution of host-parasite systems in birds and beyond. Shifting gears between behavioral, developmental, physiological, and molecular tools, he is studying the social and genetic consequences of species recognition in avian brood parasites, such as cuckoos, cowbirds and whydahs, and their hosts. During his stay in Germany, he will work on comparative and meta-analytical projects in avian brood parasitism.
