Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Professor Finkel'stein is an international authority in theoretical condensed matter physics. His pioneering works on the field theory of interacting fermions in disordered systems, in particular, effects of Coulomb interaction on metal-insulator and superconductor-insulator transitions, have largely determined the development of the field of quantum electronic transport over the last three decades. In Germany, he plans to work on theory of quantum transport in a variety of materials and structures, including strongly correlated systems, spintronics and topological insulators, graphene, thermoelectric phenomena, disordered non-linear media and quantum phase transitions. |
