| Professor Ando is internationally well known for his analyses of the Roman Empire, which bring together insights from sociology, hermeneutics and ancient history. As a specialist in Roman law and religion, he has impacted the field by revealing the epistemological dimensions of Roman religion. During his stay in Germany, he will further develop the notion of the historicisation of Roman religion and work on the legal dimension of late ancient history of religion. |
