Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden

The work of Prof. Diego F. Torres in theoretical gamma-ray astrophysics brought him undoubtful international prestige. His name is associated with studies of matter under extreme conditions, like those found in pulsars or in binary stars hosting compact objects. He contributed to deepening our understanding of such environments and guided theinterpretation of experimental searches. During his stay in Germany, he intends to study the signatures of given phenomena over different wavebands of the electromagnetic spectrum and the, yet undetected, neutrinos.
