| Professor Philip Walther is well known internationally for his outstanding research in quantum photonics and seminal contributions to quantum information tasks. He made important contributions to the applicability of quantum computers, reaching from quantum-enhanced data protection and resource-efficient quantum computing to quantum machine learning.
