Professor Elena Anagnostopoulou from the University of Crete, Greece is internationally well known for her outstanding research in syntactic theory. She has made important contributions to our understanding of cross-linguistic variation and the properties that underlie the nature and organization of the mental lexicon and in particular the way in which the components of the lexicon interact with the core computational system (morphology/syntax) underlying word and sentence formation. During her stay in Germany, she intends to continue this research and collaborate with researchers in the Collaborative Research Center 732, Incremental Specification in Context, in Stuttgart.
