Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Professor Doi has made fundamental contributions to the theory of (mainly) the dynamics of physical and materials properties of Soft Matter ranging from entangled polymer melts to the nonlinear viscoelasticity of semi-flexible, liquid crystalline polymers and gels. His theories are the basis of numerous experimental and numerical investigations. During his stay in Germany, he plans to extend his studies on non equilibrium dynamics of polymers to inhomogeneous systems such as polymer/solid interfaces, fracture etc. |
