| Professor Wipf is well known internationally for his discoveries of innovative methods in heterocyclic and organometallic chemistry and the development of novel strategies to complex natural and unnatural target molecules. Professor Wipf has had extraordinary success in drug development. One of the compounds he designed and synthesized is now in Phase II clinical studies in cancer patients in the United States and Canada. In Germany, he intends to investigate new synthetic methods for accelerated drug discovery, in particular in the field of neurodegeneration. |
