Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden

Professor Huang is a world leading figure in the field of bacterial cell biology. He has acquired an international reputation for the interdisciplinary application of theory, computation and experiments to tackle longstanding fundamental questions in our understanding of bacterial growth and shape. His work broadly focuses on fundamental questions of how cells establish sophisticated patterns of intracellular organization, how cell geometry is sensed and how cells form their shape. During his stay in Germany, he will be exploring the relationship between bacterial cell morphology and stress, using cutting-edge, high-throughput approaches.
