Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Professor Belkin is well known internationally for pioneering contributions to photonics technology, spectroscopy and nonlinear optics in mid-infrared and terahertz spectral range. Among his recent developments are the first room-temperature semiconductor laser sources of coherent terahertz radiation and metasurfaces with record-high nonlinear optical response in infrared/visible range. During his stay in Germany, he will conduct collaborative research for new and improved solid-state radiation sources in the terahertz frequency range applying novel quantum cascade lasers. |
