| Dr. Widmer is a leading international researcher in the area of computer networking with a unique focus on transport protocols, wireless communications and network coding. His work on millimeter-wave networking led to insights into efficient antenna beam-steering algorithms and characterization of millimeter-wave network performance. In Darmstadt, he will be working on the implications of millimeter-wave communication on efficient network design, and specifically on how to deal with the resulting network dynamics. |
