| Professor Raanan Rein is well known internationally for his outstanding research in the history of migrations, ethnic identity, and populism in Latin America. His contributions to the history of Jewish Argentina have gained him much scholarly acclaim and made him the world leader in this line of research. Professor Rein combines scholarly excellence with a strong commitment to internationalization. As Vice President of Tel Aviv University, Professor Rein is a highly respected ambassador of academic Israel in the world who has gained special merit for strengthening the ties with institutions and universities in Germany. During Professor Rein’s stay in Berlin he will pursue a research project on the New Ethnic Studies in Latin America. |
