Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Professor Hughes is known internationally for his outstanding research in nanophotonics and quantum optics. He has made important contributions to the theory and methodologies of describing light-matter interactions in various photonic nanostructures, including photonic crystals, quantum dots, and semiconductor cavity-quantum electrodynamics (QED). During his stay in Germany, he intends to develop methods and collaborative research projects related to describing quantum light-matter interactions in open resonators, quantum plasmonics, and coherent feedback in quantum optics. |
