Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Professor Kieber is a plant molecular biologist and internationally recognized for his outstanding studies of signal transduction in plants. He combines genetic, molecular and biochemical approaches and is known predominantly for his work on the phytohormones ethylene and cytokinin, which are signaling molecules that regulate nearly all aspects of plant growth and development. During his stay in Germany, he intends to elaborate at mainly cell biological level how cytokinin mediates drought resistance in plants. |
