Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Professor Xu acquired an international reputation in chemical engineering for research, innovations, and industrial applications of high value bioproducts from renewable resources. He particularly focuses on the development of bio-based chemicals and materials from forestry and agricultural residues, the catalytic conversion into green hydrogen and chemicals, and application of bioenergy in iron and steel making processes. During his stay in Germany the collaboration on the synthesis of green chemicals by catalytic conversion of carbohydrates shall be strengthened. |
