Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Professor Madrid is an international authority in the field of ethnomusicology. He investigates the role of music, dance and sound in negotiating post-national identities and has been pioneering the study of trans-cultural musical entanglements and of complex musical identities in political border zones. In Germany, he will explore alternative modernisms and the aural turn in the humanities through the lens of sound archives and artistic practices, advocating the paradigm of the Sounded City. |
