Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden

Professor Jean J. du Plessis ist als einer der wichtigsten Forscher auf dem Gebiet des Unternehmensrechts international anerkannt. Der Rechtsvergleicher zeichnet sich als einzigartiger Kenner des deutschen Gesellschaftsrechts aus. Seine herausragenden Untersuchungen zu den Grundsätzen deutscher Unternehmensführung erfolgen stets vor dem Hintergrund der europäischen und internationalen Corporate Governance-Diskussion. Seine breite internationale Erfahrung ermöglicht ihm die Fokussierung auf weltweite „best practices“, die er im internationalen Diskurs vertieft. Seine langfristig angelegten Forschungskooperationen zeichnen ihn als Brückenbauer zwischen Deutschland und anderen Jurisdiktionen aus. Als solcher wird er auch weiterhin nachhaltige Impulse für das deutsche Gesellschaftsrecht geben.
