His discoveries reveales in the field of glial cell research established the important role of this certain cell types for brain function and dysfunction. He presently occupies the prestigious Warren and Jermaine Magnuson Endowed Chair for Medicine in Neurosciences at the University of Washington and has established one of the best departments of neurology in the United States. |
