Projektbeschreibung der*des Nominierenden
| Jürgen Margraf gilt als führender Experte auf dem Feld der klinischen Psychologie und der Psychotherapie. Einer seiner Schwerpunkte ist die Therapie von Angststörungen. Er ist ein Verfechter von kurzen und auf ihre Wirksamkeit hin evaluierten Behandlungsformen und beriet in diesem Sinne als Mitglied des Wissenschaftlichen Beirates für Psychotherapie die deutsche Bundesregierung. Seine jüngsten Arbeiten zielen darauf, Bedingungen für eine gute psychische Gesundheit zu identifizieren, um so Erkrankungen vorbeugen zu können. An der Universität Bochum soll Margraf den in den letzten Jahren entwickelten Forschungsschwerpunkt Klinische Psychologie stärken und das geplante neue Forschungs- und Behandlungszentrum für Psychische Gesundheit leiten. |
