We are Family – The Humboldt Network: Die Humboldt-Stiftung hielt ihre gesamte Jahrestagung 2020 mit mehr als 1.000 Teilnehmenden aus rund 140 Ländern digital ab. Ganz im Sinne des internationalen Austauschs und familiären Charakters des Netzwerks haben Humboldtgeförderte aus aller Welt ein Video zur Musik des Diskoklassikers We are Family produziert.

And how important is international collaboration? We asked Egodi Uchendu, professor of history at the University of Nigeria. Her research focuses on women’s history and masculinities studies, African historiography and religious conversions mainly to Islam. In the context of the coronavirus pandemic, she examines how different religious groups, in this case Christians and Muslims, have responded to Covid-19 in Nigeria.

He sees the crisis as an opportunity for rethinking and calls for lessons to be learned from the current social solidarity.
